Student of Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology

Heather Alvarado, M.S. is currently working on her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. She completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated magna cum laude.

Heather is bilingual in English and Spanish and is completing her full-time internship under the supervision of Dr. Veronica. 

Heather's interests include neuropsychological and psychological assessment as well as psychotherapy of all age span. She comes well prepared and is eager to expanding her horizon during this educational experience. 

Heather is currently working on her dissertation on the mental health needs of servicemen and servicewomen and their spouses titled: The Relationships Between Attachment and Coping as Predictors for Perceived Infidelity During Deployment in Civilian Spouses.

Heather holds a professorship appointment at Mt. San Jacinto College, Norco College, and Riverside City College. She teaches the following courses: Intro to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Child Development, and Human Development among others.

On her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys reading and engaging in physical activity such as hiking and zip lining when time permits.
